What would you highlight about Pepe Le Pew - Café & Hostal
Passable for a night
Lis and the owner were really friendly and genuinely try to make sure you have a relaxed and comfortable stay. Dorm was a decent size with really sturdy bunk beds and comfortable mattresses. Passable for a night only because the owner and Lis are so nice. Be aware that this is a very small cafe with 3 rooms (1 dorm 2 private) and a bathroom on the ground floor. It is not really a hostal.
No hot water, no lockers, pretty lax security. Minor things taken from bathroom/fridge, random people looking for Pepe wandering into the cafe area at night, going behind the counter, very strange and uncomfortable. Wifi only worked in the cafe area. 'Pepe' - you can't miss him when you arrive as he's always sat in the cafe or standing outside smoking. He totally ruined the friendly vibe created by the owner and Lis. I've no idea what he contributes to the business, he seems to sit in the limited 'communal area' all day to play his guitar and smoke pot. The fact he sleeps in the cafe/common area at night is just weird. Lis did a great job of cleaning the bathroom but as soon as she left for the day, it got very dirty very quickly. It isn't cleaned again until around 1030/11am.

Nothing is better than starting your day with some fruits and live music, this is what we got at pepe le pew's place. I highly recommend it.

Owner is great but place is noisy and not great
Liz the owner was friendly and helpful.
Bedroom door did not lock. We didn't recieve breakfast 2/3 mornings. Having a cafe in the common area between the rooms isn't a great setup. Bottom should be rented as one unit. Only 1 bathroom between 8 beds (up to 12 people).
